How to setting Push Mail on SE P1i

April 24th, 2008

SonyEricsson P1i have a great feature for Messaging, you can setup Pushmail without adding application such as Blackberry or Fring, i’ll try for sharing in this How-to tutorial..

In this How-to tutorial i used Google hosted mail, so you can adjust with your email account (IMAP must be supported)

First, open the Messaging in menu section, and then tap More > Email accounts

Your Name: you@yourgooglehosteddomain.tld
Email Address: you@yourgooglehosteddomain.tld

After completed Basic, Inbox and Outbox settings, now go to Advanced Settings, Tap More > Advanced

In Outgoing settings, set Secure connection to SSL (automatically Incoming mail port set to 465) and Check the “Use MIME encoding” boxes.

And then tap Save for Advanced Settings and Basic, Inbox and Outbox settings.

Now we move to Push Mail,

On the Email accounts, tap More > Always on push email

Congrats, you finished the account setup.. Happy Pushmail :)

But, actually i need some quite privacy for sleeping, working hard and others, so i set this to Schedule downloads which is can be adjusted to my specified time

In this settings, you can specified time range the push mail activated (i choosed 9 am to 5pm) and you can specified interval time for download the email message (i choosed interval in 60 minutes).

Okay, this is finished. thanks and sorry for my bad english :D
